CEREC® Same-Day Crowns
CEREC technology simplifies the traditional restorative process (which requires multiple appointments) into a much more convenient experience. Now, patients can undergo every step of receiving a new, custom-made dental crown – from design to milling to final placement – in one visit. This means you’ll walk in with a hurting or broken tooth and leave with a newly recompleted smile.
Does an upcoming appointment at the dentist’s office fill you with dread? Comfort is an important priority for City Center Dental Group, which is why we offer oral conscious sedation for fearful or anxious patients. This medication will help you feel much more relaxed and at ease throughout treatment while still remaining awake enough to hear requests from our dentists. You may also find that your memories of the experience after recovery are fuzzy.
Sleep Apnea Therapy
Many patients don’t realize that dentists are often capable of treating sleep apnea and chronic snoring – after all, who knows your mouth better than them? Here in the Denver Metro, a custom-made oral appliance can alleviate symptoms caused by mild to moderate obstructive sleep apnea (OSA). This device will comfortably reposition the jaw (or tongue) just enough to prevent the collapse of tissue over the airway while the patient sleeps, which is what causes OSA in the first place. The result is higher-quality, uninterrupted rest that improves your health and general wellbeing.
Intraoral cameras are not only an excellent diagnostic tool for our dentists, but an invaluable educational tool for patients as well. This process is simple – we’ll use a camera-tipped wand to capture highly detailed images of your teeth and gums in the treatment chair. These images are sent to our computer system and then to a monitor in the operatory. Your smile will be on the big screen, which means we can refer to it when discussing any discovered damage, potential treatment options, and oral hygiene instructions. Our goal is to help you feel like a fully informed partner in your dental care experience from beginning to end!
Digital X-rays are the ideal diagnostic tool in today’s world, especially for dentists who need to view potential oral health problems below the surface of teeth and gums. When compared to traditional film X-rays, the digital version offers the following benefits:
- There’s no darkroom development needed – crystal-clear images are available seconds after capture.
- X-rays can easily be manipulated by our computer software (magnification, color-coding, etc) to aid patient understanding.
- No hazardous chemicals are required to successfully develop digital X-rays.
- Any radiation exposure is dramatically reduced by up to 80%, thanks to the technology’s added precision.
Digital Impression System
We all surely remember the days of having to sit still in the dentist’s chair while having your mouth filled with impression materials. While this process was necessary for creating custom-made restorations, patients were likely to experience extreme discomfort or even the need to gag. Retakes also happened often, stretching the unpleasantness even further. At City Center Dental Group, we now offer all-digital impressions for a superior patient experience. There’s no contact needed – we will pass the scanner over your teeth and create an accurate virtual model while you sit comfortably.
Soft Tissue Laser
Lasers are swiftly becoming the future of dentistry, and we’re proud to utilize a state-of-the-art Odyssey Diode soft tissue laser whenever possible for procedures involving the gums. Unlike traditional scalpels, this focused light beam is precise, comfortable, and sterilizing – most patients don’t even need any local anesthetic or sutures to control bleeding. Our dentists can remove natural tissue in order to treat gum disease or to improve the aesthetic appearance of the gum line through recontouring.
3D Cone-Beam Imaging
Our team has the experience and advanced training needed to provide even complex reconstructive dentistry. When creating these treatment plans, we need the most comprehensive information possible about the patient’s oral structures – that’s where 3D Cone-Beam Imaging comes in. This state-of-the-art technology is a step above traditional X-rays. Three-dimensional models of the patient’s face, neck, and teeth are developed so that even the smallest details are visible. With this accurate information, it’s easier to plan safe, precise procedures that will result in long-term success.
